My Story
Lewis Bowden D.P.
—
I was born in the North East of Scotland and grew up in and around the UK. My first love was rollerblading and this shaped my informative years. I pursued this into my mid to late-20s. From a young age, I was interested in 35mm photography and in my teens, I started shooting 35mm of myself and my friends travelling and competing across Europe and the States skating. This led to me starting to film and document what we were doing. I fell in love with shooting and the way light shaped an image. To this day you can still find me with skates on my feet and a camera in my hands. This has given me a unique ability to operate a camera with skates on to create a stand-out image with a fast fluent motion but only when the time calls for this. I am just as comfortable with any type of shooting. I am always looking for my next opportunity to shoot and show the world what I can do.
KIND WORDS
from
PAST CREW
In the time that I have worked with Lewis I have grown in my technical ability and on reflection I've also grown as a person. The way Lewis handles problem solving and creative vision translation I am always confident in the final outcome. He is a true leader who works very well under pressure, A must for large set environments. Dedicated to his craft and always pushing the boundaries.

MYLES DOCHERTY - FIRST AC
The dedication Lewis brings to any piece of work is first and foremost the reason I keep going back to him whenever I’m putting a crew together. He fully devotes himself to the vision, finding novel and creative solutions to the everyday challenges being on set can bring. Because of this, when working Lewis, we always end up with a piece of work that far exceeds the original visualisation. If that’s not enough then his attitude and character should be. Just a pleasure to be around and I’m a firm believer this is an essential trait for crewing any successful shoot.
